Terms of sale

Who you are buying from

indianflutes.in is run by Flutetronics, a proprietorship of Sriharsha Ramkumar, at #72, 6th Cross, 8th Main, Bikasipura, Bengaluru 560061, Karnataka, India (GSTIN 29AVSPR2982H1ZO). By placing an order you agree to these terms, together with the Shipping, Refunds and Privacy pages.

Who this service is for

I choose and test flutes for absolute beginners who play right-handed and live in India. My recommendations of scale and size are guidance based on my experience as a performer and teacher. If you already have a teacher, please follow their advice.

The flutes

• Every flute is handmade from natural bamboo by an experienced maker, and tested by me.
• Each one varies a little in colour, grain and thread. Photos show a typical flute, not the exact one you will receive, and lengths are approximate.
• The thread colour can’t be customised.
• Under my agreement with the makers, I don’t share their names.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Indian rupees and are shown on each flute page. These are handmade, indigenous bamboo flutes, which are exempt from GST, so no GST is added. Packing and courier (₹600 per parcel of up to three flutes) is added separately.

You pay online when you order. Payments are processed securely by Razorpay, and your order is confirmed once payment is received. I may update prices at any time, but the price you paid is the price of your order.

Accepting orders

I may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, if I can’t supply the flute to my standard, if the delivery address is outside India, or if the order doesn’t suit this service.

Dispatch, delivery and refunds

Dispatch takes 12–15 working days. Delivery, cancellation and refund terms are on the Shipping and Refunds pages.

How we work together

You are ordering from a working musician, so replies can take a day. I will always be courteous with you and ask the same in return. If that breaks down, I will cancel and refund the order.

Caring for your flute

Bamboo is a natural material. Keep your flute away from direct sun, heat and very dry air, and store it in a cover. Once delivered, its care is in your hands.

Responsibility

If something goes wrong with an order, the most I am responsible for is the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Indian consumer law.

Website content

The text, photos, logo and design of this website belong to Flutetronics and Sriharsha Ramkumar. Please don’t copy or reuse them without permission.

Changes and governing law

I may update these terms from time to time; the terms shown when you ordered apply to your order. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
